This is an interesting test Robin Carried out with his alpy, and is something some of us could also try.

NEQ6 mount, C6 telescope with skywatcher guide scope for moving around with Starlight SXVR H9 main camera and SX auto guider.
Celestron C9.25 and WOZ 72 in dome with atik 460 camera and a Co-star for guiding with alpy for spectroscopy.
MCT5 with SE mount and SXVR MX 916 camera and star analyser for spectroscopy

Here's my comparison of Aldebaran with that of the Miles database HD29139. Not the exact match that Robin gets but the general shape of the graph with major absorption lines OK. The big dips at the red end of mine are the telluric lines that don't feature in the standard one.
