Hi People here are the basic "rule of thumb" settings for your DSLRs

Set your DSLR to Manual

Autofocus
Turn OFF

Aperture
As wide as possible.

ISO
As high as you can without getting excessive noise.

White Balance
Set to Tungsten (Daylight) but if shooting in RAW then it can be tweaked in post

Self Timer
Set to 10 or 2 Seconds

Mirror Lock-up
Its a good idea to lock the mirror up before the exposure to reduce camera
movement and vibration caused by mirror slap

Drive
Set to One Shot

Noise Reduction
Off

Shutter Speed
600 / Lens Size = Max Exposure
600 / 16 = 37.5 sec

Focus
Infinity

If your lens has Image Stabilisation
Turn Off

hope this helps those who where asking

happy days

Rob
